Our inspectorate team are the superheroes who are out in the field working with the public to ensure that the animals are well-cared for.
On a Thursday morning, late in January, Field Officer Sibonelo Gasa attended a meeting held at St. Wendolin’s Community Centre in Pinetown to discuss various topics around caring for the animals in the community. These ranged from the importance of vaccinating pets against Rabies, what to do if bitten by a dog or who to contact regarding sick and injured animal, as well as the 5 Freedoms of the SPCA.
This work is crucial and goes a long way in ensuring that animals within these areas are given a fair chance in life and, also, the ongoing care which they deserve throughout their lives. Our outreach programmes assist the communities with immunisations, sterilisations and education, all of which have been made possible through ongoing support from our donors. We are so grateful for your support.
